Do you lease directly to youth?

No. Steady Ground partners with provider agencies who oversee placements and supportive services.


Are homes furnished?

Yes. Bedrooms are furnished with a full or queen bed, nightstand, and dresser. Common areas are furnished with a couch, dining table and chairs, tv, and a desk with a computer and printer that is Wi-Fi compatible for students.

Can tenants bring their own furniture?

Residents can choose to bring their own bedroom furniture to use if they prefer. Common area furnishings are to remain and cannot be replaced or removed.

Is the kitchen stocked with pots and pans and utensils?

Yes. Each home has a fully stocked kitchen with standard set of pots and pans, knife set, cutting board, baking set, measuring cups and spoons, utensil set, glassware set, plateware set, bowlware set, a blender, a coffee pot, and a crockpot.

Do you offer master lease agreements?

Yes. We structure leases to align with provider operational needs.

What areas do you serve?

Sacramento County and surrounding counties that participate in THP and THP+ Programs including Yolo, Placer, Sutter, and El Dorado


Are there age or income restrictions?

Yes. We provide housing for for young adults ages 18 to 25 through county licensed transition housing program providers. We do not rent to the general public at this time. There are no income restrictions. residents can earn and save as much as they want during their sponsored residency, or take the opportunity to go to school full time to earn a degree, or learn a trade without worrying about working to pay the rent.

Are the houses coed?

No. Each 2 or 3 bedroom unit is either all-female or all-male. 


 Can you take in a young mother or father with a minor?

Yes, if he or she is still receiving THP and so long as the child shares the bedroom with the parent. Max occupants: 2 per room. Unfortunately, the other parent would be unable to reside with the approved resident since the homes are not coed.
